Discipline means complete obedience to certain rules and regulations. It is important for the progress of society and the development of one's personality as well. It is all the more important for the students.

Since student life is a period of learning and grooming, a student needs to be sincere, dedicated, firm and focused to his goals. Discipline plays significant role in shaping his personality and molding his character.
A student needs to be very punctual to his routine. He should be very regular and sincere to his studies. He should be hard working. He should always be ready and active in various other extracurricular activities. He should remain active and smart. He should learn how to face difficult situations and how to win over them.
A student is the future of the country. It is he who has to take the responsibility of the country. He should be healthy and fit. Physical education is as important for students as to be studious and sincere at studies. A student should always be in good health and fitness. For this he should get up early in the morning. He should take exercise daily. He should play game of his choice daily. It is well known that a healthy body has a healthy mind. His mind will be strong and sharp only when he is physically strong, fit and healthy.
The biggest task of a student is to study. A student should be very devoted and sincere to his studies. He should be very punctual. He should know the importance of time. He should regularly do his home work. He should have an urge to learn new things. He should have respect for his teachers and elders. He should be very cooperative with his friends. He should help the needy.

Discipline demands self-control and dedication. One who cannot control himself cannot control others. He has to dedicate his individuality in the larger interest of society. Discipline is a virtue. It needs to be cultivated from early childhood. It cannot be developed overnight. It takes time and requires patience. When discipline is enforced, it fails to bring the desired result. True essence of discipline is lost when it is enforced. The man becomes more a machine and less a human being.

Student life is the formation period of life. The foundation of adulthood is laid down during the time. The man grows with the habits and manners acquired at that time. These things hardly change. So a student should be much disciplined in his student life. One who is disciplined raises high in life. Life of great men is examples of discipline. The great men have made mark in their lives, because they strictly follow their goals with all the earnestness and sincerity.

So, we should try to be disciplined from the early stage of life. Both at school and at home they should be made to follow the rules of discipline. Parents, teachers and elders have significant role to play. A student should always learn good habits. This will lead to the formation of a good society and nation as well.

STUDENT AND PART TIME JOB

Is it a good idea for High School Students to have a part-time job?

I think that high school students should have part time jobs because it gives students a chance to get out and contribute to the community. It teaches students the value of money and gives them skills that they can use in their future.

Firstly, a part time job for students is a good idea because students are greatly needed to participate in to todays society, getting a job in the community is a great way to participate and get themselves involved. It gives students a sense of ownership and belonging within their community that they too are an active member that helps make the society function at it's highest level.

Also, when students get a pay check they have to know that they need to budget their money and also to create a savings account for future purchases. It also teaches them the value of the dollar where a teenager when about to spend their money they can stop and question themselves 'is this a want, or is this a need?' This is a great tool for young adults to acquire at a young age.




Finally it gives students important skills useful for their future. For example, a student was to get a job at the local gas bar one would learn how to handle money, how to stock shelves, order supplies that are needed, customer service and the ability to handle hazardous materials. It's also builds a students character and trust worthy value. As we all know in society word of mouth about ones character and how responsible they are excel fast within any community.

In conclusion, part time work for a student is a key element in future success. It allows the student to grow and learn as an individual and creates strong work ethic. There is nothing more valuable to an employer than an employee that has these skills and in life there is nothing more desirable as an individual than to have a strong sense of worth, character and the ability to handle and manage money to their fullest potential....

Discipline is an important virtue. Life without discipline is just like a ship without a rudder. It is necessary for expressing other virtues. It is absolutely essential for success in life. Discipline refers to orderliness in life which results from our adherence to certain code of conduct prepared by the learned people. It also implies our respect to physical and moral laws in our society.

Without discipline, it is very difficult to lead a happy life in society. There will be indiscipline and chaos if we try to live in our own way. Both, individual and society will be in jeopardy.

We observe discipline in nature. The earth and the moon revolve around the sun in a disciplined way. As a result, night and day recur after twelve hours. We experience the cycle of seasons on the earth. Our physical existence is possible only due to a great discipline in the external nature. We grow when all the limbs and the respective capacity of different organs of our body grow in a disciplined way.

Discipline can be applied in all walks of life. It is essential for us at home, for students in school and college, for players in play ground, for soldiers in battlefield. A factory with a team of disciplined workers and engineers will run smoothly and yield profit.

Discipline plays an important role in building a nation. It has good impact on the child's mind too. He passes through discipline since his childhood, becomes a civilized citizen in future. He leads a decent life.

A team of experienced players often lose the match because of indiscipline in the team. A horrible battle can be won by a disciplined army.

Discipline is very important in a student's life. He must obey his teachers. He must abide by the rules in school. If he violates them, he suffers a great deal in his future. A disciplined student can achieve success. Similarly, a teacher without discipline in his life cannot be an ideal teacher.

Self-discipline is very important. Spiritual persons practice it to attain the liberty of soul. Self-discipline lies in restraining our unruly desires and ugly  impulses.

There are many causes of indiscipline. Here are a few:

§  Favoritism:
Indiscipline may be caused by teachers who  favor some students in their teaching and classroom management.  The other students may see this as a sign that everything is allowed in spite of the rules. Other students may also see this favoritism as an offense against them which leads to rebellion.

§  The rules are not enforced
When a student is not punished for an offense , s/he goes on to commit more offense.

§  Lack of Communication:
The rules are not clearly communicated

§  Teacher-student relationship
The teacher and students relationship is essential for any learning process. If there is a breakdown in this relationship, indiscipline emerges.

§  Lack of leadership:
When the teacher doesn’t fulfil his role as a leader, there will certainly be  students or students who will be glad to take this role. Thus indiscipline appears.

§  Lack of motivation:
When students are not motivated, they tend to work in an indisciplined manner.

§  Bad habit:
Some students may have acquired bad habits  from previous teaching experiences. Once a student, for instance ,  has formed the habit of coming to school late, it will be hard for him or her to change this behavior.

School rules should be followed by all school staff. So teachers are more competent to give sanction on students who violate the rules.
